Pregnancy is beautiful, but it’s okay if not every day feels that way
You can be so excited to meet your baby and still feel completely thrown by how much changes before they ever get here. Your body, routines, relationship, sense of control, and the way suddenly other people are free flowing commentary about you… it can be amazing and A LOT to hold.
There was nothing more I loved than carrying my son, and I have immense respect for anyone who would rather completely skip over the millions of details to learn and 400 decisions to make all while navigating a body that’s changing by the week. I also hold a special place in my heart for those who have been through it trying to get here, and who hold a level of anxiety every step of the way.
I hope you never have to feel put into a box or uncomfortable by anyone who talks about pregnancy and fertility like its universal for everyone. This space is yours to feel completely seen in any way you’re showing up right now, with all the feelings you didn’t expect, the thoughts that hit right in those insomnia moments at night, and the things you don’t feel like you can talk about as openly.
There’s an interesting thing that can happen within these nine months, where we now have so many milestones, appointments, questions from family and friends, celebrations, checklists, and courses that remembering to allow space for the most authentic parts of you along the way can be feel a million times harder. This is where we can put aside the “shoulds” or “bests” or any other expectations of what pregnancy means to find what you want to experience.

If pregnancy has brought up more than you expected, I get it.
I remember wanting this so badly and then being surprised by some of what came with it. I was holding two realities most of the time;
- Feeling grateful for my body and struggling with the way it was changing at the same time.
- Knowing comments about my appearance were how people wanted to bond, but wishing I could suddenly hide my growing body at every gathering.
- Waiting to feel this intense love for my baby and questioning why I couldn’t feel as connected in certain moments.
- Navigating a shock when we found out the gender and being so hard on myself for feeling anything but appreciative of this miracle.
- Wondering if I was ever going to be enough as a mom, and getting so grounded as I learned more
- Wanting community around what I was moving through month by month, and having to delete TikTok as I was comparing myself too closely to other people
- Getting absolutely sold with new mom marketing about everything I “needed” to have before baby arrived, and being overwhelmed with how many things were suddenly in our house
- Being terrified of birth and holding a weird sense of ease and trust that I had to just release control
Pregnancy gave me some of the most meaningful moments of my life. It also asked me to get very honest about how I handle uncertainty, change, comparison, how I see myself in the mirror, and the expectations I have about what it means to be a mom.
That part deserves conversation too, and that’s why I’m here pouring my heart into all of it with you.

What you’ll Find Here
Don’t worry, this isn’t going to be another place telling you which stroller to buy or handing you a pregnancy checklist with 62 things you apparently should have finished by Tuesday. There are plenty of wonderful places for that, but here we’re focused on talking about what it actually feels like to be the person going through the biggest shifts mentally, emotionally, physically, and maybe even spiritually.
Pregnancy & Your Body
Pregnancy & Your Mind
Pregnancy & Identity
For the body changes, the comments, the comparison, and the complicated experience of watching your body become unfamiliar while doing something incredible.
For the overthinking, the what-ifs, the endless Googling, the need for control, and the moments when you’re trying to figure out what’s intuition and what’s anxiety.
For the emotions you didn’t expect, the identity shifts happening before the baby even arrives, and the quiet ways motherhood starts changing you long before birth.

You’re already becoming her
There isn’t a finish line you cross where suddenly you know exactly what you’re doing and officially feel like someone’s mom.
At least, I haven’t found one.
I think so much of becoming a mother happens in these quieter moments — learning yourself in a new way, questioning what you assumed motherhood would look like, listening a little more closely to your own voice, and slowly discovering what you want to carry forward with you.
The makings are already within you.
